Animations by the National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA) of sea ice in the north and south polar regions over the period July 2002 - December 2002, as derived from Aqua's AMSR-E data. The AMSR-E instrument was provided to the Aqua mission by NASDA. Validation efforts for the sea ice product are underway.
